Below you will find basic information regarding the types of participants that are well suited to our program, as well as a list of materials that applicants will be asked to submit with their applications.

Application Requirements

Required:

  1. Veterinary degree conferred by an accredited University and/or professional experience working in the area of animal production, food systems, or related  policy fields
  2. Access to a laptop and/or computer, and to a mobile device
  3. Working knowledge of basic software (Word, Excel)
  4. Willingness to dedicate 6-8 hours per week to the training, in addition to regular duties, over the duration of the training
  5. Strong self-motivation and personal interest in completing the program
  6. Ability to attend a limited number of in-person activities to supplement the online training 
  7. Written support from his/her immediate, supervisor confirming suitability and ability to carry out program requirements
  8. At least 1-2 years experience working as a veterinarian and/or in a field related to animal production, food safety, or related policy fields

Preferred:

  1. Between 5 and 10 years of experience working as a veterinarian and/or in a field related to animal production, food safety, or related policy fields
  2. Previous experience taking courses online

 

What do I need to apply?

  • A short essay (no more than 1 page) that describes:
    • Your professional background (positions held, key professional experiences or post-graduate trainings you have completed, and goals you have for your professional practice.)
    • Your motivations for applying to ProgRESSVet Philippines.
  • Your current curriculum vitae (CV) or resume (1-4 pages)
  • At least one reference letter, preferably two, from professional referees. If attaching one letter, this should be written by your immediate supervisor so that he or she knows of your intention to join the program. If you choose to attach a second letter of reference, that can be from a contact of your choosing.
