Offered in partnership with the Department of Agriculture Bureau of Animal Industry, Philippine College of Swine Practitioners, and International Training Center on Pig Husbandry, ProgRESSVet Philippines is composed of online courses and support for the development of a practical project that will provide participants with knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to national efforts to mitigate ASF and its impacts.

The overall purpose of ProgRESSVet Philippines is to strengthen local veterinary services capacities to detect and control animal disease, and to understand and apply international standards for trade of animal products. The curriculum will focus on the control and surveillance of diseases related to hemorrhagic fevers in swine, specifically African Swine Fever (ASF).

The first cohort of ProgRESSVet Philippines began in March 2023 and has been followed by a second cohort of participants that have started the program in March 2024. If you are interested in learning more about the ProgRESSVet program, please contact [email protected].
